Arville appoints Stewart McGuffie as Chair of the Board

Long-standing textile industry leader appointed following two years as a member of the Arville Board.

Arville is pleased to announce the appointment of Stewart McGuffie (pictured first left) as Chair of the Board following the company’s Annual General Meeting, held on 10th September 2026.

Stewart succeeds Andrew Stewart, who has played an important role in Arville’s development and provided valuable guidance and support during his time as Chair. We would like to thank Andrew for his contribution to the business and wish him every success for the future.

Having served on the Arville Board since 2024, Stewart already has a strong understanding of the business, its capabilities and its ambitions.

He has spent his entire career within the textile industry, working in both the UK and Asia Pacific. Since 2007, he has served as Chief Executive of Allied Textiles and is also Chairman of UK Fashion and Textiles, the industry’s principal representative body in the UK.

Stewart will work closely with the Board and Executive Team as Arville continues to build on its strong heritage and pursue its growth ambitions.

Steve Gill, Group CEO of Arville, said:

“I’d like to thank Andrew for his support and contribution to Arville over recent years. As we look ahead to the next phase of our development, I am delighted to welcome Stewart as Chair and look forward to working closely with him to build on the strong foundations already in place.

Having served on our Board since 2024, Stewart already has a strong understanding of Arville, our capabilities and our ambitions. His extensive experience within the textile industry will be invaluable as we continue to develop the business.”

Established in 1951, Arville has grown from its Yorkshire manufacturing roots into an international technical textiles group. Throughout that growth, the business has retained its focus on engineering expertise, manufacturing excellence and solving complex customer challenges.

Stewart’s appointment provides continuity, extensive industry experience and additional leadership as Arville builds on 75 years of engineering textile solutions.
